Work Place

Chemical technicians almost always work indoors in comfortable air temperatures. Their workdays often include face-to-face discussions. Being able to work well in a group or team is very important in this work. Sometimes workers in this job encounter hazardous conditions or contaminated materials. To remain healthy in this work environment, people must always wear protective or safety equipment. Accuracy is very important in this work, as is being able to quickly repeat the same tasks. The speed of equipment often determines the work pace. These workers must at times make decisions, and making mistakes has moderately serious consequences. Many chemical technicians work full time.
