Work Place

Jewelers and precious stone and metal workers often work indoors in comfortable air temperatures. Their workdays sometimes include face-to-face discussions. On a typical day, workers frequently use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. In some settings noise levels are distracting or uncomfortable. Depending on their specific job, workers may be exposed to contaminated materials or hazardous conditions. To remain healthy, these workers must at times wear protective or safety equipment.
